I’m Gabriela Martinez,

an upcoming mechanical Engineer.

I am currently a senior at Northeastern University working toward my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I chose engineering because I’ve always been drawn to understanding how things work and finding ways to improve them. What started as curiosity grew into a passion for building, designing, and turning ideas into something tangible.

My passion lies in bringing creative ideas to life through engineering, blending strong technical skills with a hands-on approach to design and prototyping. I enjoy working through complex problems and seeing them evolve into real, functional solutions.

Over the past few years, I’ve worked on projects ranging from energy systems for aerospace and directed-energy applications to interactive educational tools and autonomous robotics. Whether I’m modeling precision components in SolidWorks or building systems by hand, I approach every challenge with curiosity, creativity, and grit.

Outside of engineering, I enjoy photography, especially sports photography, as well as coaching volleyball, which has helped me develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. These experiences have shaped how I approach both technical and collaborative work.

Looking ahead, I hope to build a career in aerospace or advanced energy systems, where I can contribute to innovative technologies that push boundaries and solve real-world problems. I’m particularly interested in designing efficient, high-performance systems that can be applied to emerging technologies.
